AMF 20th Century Lanes

champs Eryk Jensen & Toby Shepherd

Eryk Jensen and Toby Shepherd earned their first JBT titles each, in exciting JBT Pacific Northwest Conference action at AMF 20th Century Lanes.

Brothers Cody and Nick Stone battled each other to open the scratch division finals, with Nick winning the match 212-177.  Stone then got past Jeremy Witt 229-217.  Jordan Yoke then stopped Stone's roll with a 246-203 win, to advance to the title match.

Top seed Jensen had rolled a 300 game during the qualifying round (only the second Tour-wide this season) en route to the top seed, and both bowlers put on a strike clinic in the finale. In the end, Jensen came away with the 253-235 win and his first career JBT title.

Toby Shepherd was unstoppable in the finals, climbing the ladder for his first career title.  He began with a 237-202 win over Megan Green.  Toby then defeated Kaitlyn Coovert 188-175, and followed with a 232-186 win over Evan Pendergraft to reach the title match.

Top seed Brianna Hemming had led since game 3 and was looking to capture her first JBT title.  However, Shepherd was able to continue the momentum he built throughout the finals, and he won the match 212-189 to taste JBT victory for the first time.

An overlapping event meant a smaller than usual field, but our guaranteed prize funds meant over $1,000 in scholarships was still awarded to bowlers of all averages.  Thanks again to the crew at 20th Century for a great job hosting us.  Want in on all this fun and excitement?  Come on out to the next JBT event, it's that simple!
