HILINE LANES

champs Jordan Plunkett & Andy Herrmann

Jordan Plunkett and Andy Herrmann picked up JBT titles in exciting Pacific Northwest Conference action at Burien's Hiline Lanes.

All the scratch division finalists bowled great games on the 2009 USBC Nationals pattern, which proved to be tricky all day long.  Josh Jackson began a climb up the ladder with a 254-230 win over Jeremy Witt.  Jackson then got past Tanner Spacey 233-221, before Jordan Plunkett stopped Jackson 216-202 to reach the title match.

Top seed Cameron Weier led since game four, and Jordan's semifinal win set up a true clash of the Pac NW titans for the title here.  This time around, it was Plunkett coming away with a 226-204 win, good for the 8th title of his JBT career.

All five handicap finalists threw 200+ games as well in the finals.  Kolby Crowell opened up the handicap division stepladder with a 258-207 win over current points leader Evan Pendergraft.  Jacob Mullen then eliminated Crowell 242-210.  Cody Pike then tunred the tables on Mullen with a 242-220 win to advance to his first title match.

Top seed Andy Herrmann was having his best JBT event by far, rolling a big eighth game to recapture the top seed.  He continued the great bowling with a 240-218 title match victory, earning the first JBT title of his career.

Thanks to everyone at Hiline for another great job hosting our Tour.  Over $1,300 in scholarships were awarded to bowlers of all averages- want in on the fun?  Check out our schedule and come on down to the next JBT event, it's that simple!
