The Orleans

champs Kyle King & Jamie Spector

Kyle King added another title to his unbelievable collection, while Jamie Spector started her collection with win number one, in exciting JBT Mojave Conference action at The Orleans.

Zack Hattori opened the stepladder finals with a 197-179 grindout win against Pac NW Conference star Cameron Weier.  The Kegel Turnpike condition continued to stay tough in round two, but Zack had enough for a 184-176 win over Dallas Leong.   The talented Las Vegan then advanced to another title match with a 253-160 win over Texas' Anthony Lavery, whose earlier 275 was the high game of the day.

Top seed Kyle King had led after five games, hung on after eight, and stayed in control the entire title match, eventually winning 237-206 for the 48th title of his unmatched JBT career.

Ian Hanuscin made his first finals appearance of the season a success by defeating Andrew Guba 219-192 in round one of the handicap stepladder.  All-Conference points leader Steven Acuff then defeated Hanuscin 235-175, and followed with a 235-175 win over Washington star Luke Jordan to advance to yet another title match this season.

Spector was enjoying her best JBT event ever, grabbing the top seed for the finals.  She showed no first time jitters in the finals, as an early five-bagger was more than enough to cruise to a 240-180 win over Acuff for the first title of her JBT career.  She added an extra $100 for rolling to victory with an Ebonite bowling ball- thanks Ebonite!

Thanks as always to the great crew at Orleans for hosting us.  Over $1,400 in scholarships were awarded to the field.  If you want in on all this fun, come on out to the next JBT event, it's that simple!
