champs Mathew Jones & KJ Martinez

In a memorable Tournament of All-Time champions, stars of the JBT past and present rose to the top, as Matt Jones and KJ Martinez captured scratch and handicap division titles respectively.

Scratch bowlers tore up the 2010 USBC Women's Nationals pattern, led by junior Chris Brown and PBA star Michael Haugen, who both fired perfect 300 games.  The opening match of the stepladder finals was also indicative of the high scores produced (as well as the equity between our current juniors and our adult alumni), as junior Jakob Butturff outlasted Team USA member Josh Blanchard 268-257.   In an all-junior semifinal, Aaron Foshie squeaked by Butturff in much lower scoring match, 212-191, to reach the title game.

Top seed Matt Jones led the scoring parade to earn the top seed, which is no surprise to close followers of the game.  In a field that included PBA stars, Team USA Members, and Junior Gold champs and finalists, Jones, the 1996-97 JBT handicap Bowler of the year, who routinely holds his own against all of them in local, national, and megabuck tournaments, did so again.   After a few spares to start, Jones restarted the striking machine, and never stopped, with the final result a 264-220 win over Foshie, good for the 6th title of his JBT career (and, of course, first in 11 years!)

Amanda Ailport, a former T of C champion, opened the handicap stepladder finals with a 250-214 win over Dominic Luna.  KJ Martinez then squeezed by Ailport 205-198, to reach yet another title match.

Top seed Audrey Campbell snuck into the field as an 'almost champ' in February, and then bowled like a champ all day here, including a 200 scratch game to earn the top seed.  However, Martinez was not to be denied.  His season had already gone from good to outstanding this spring, and it rose to an even higher level with a 227-183 win over Audrey for the title, the 4th of his JBT career.

Thanks to the crew at Let It Roll for a great job hosting our Tour for the first time, and to all our alumni for coming back and visiting us in this always fun and exciting event!
