BOWL EL PASO

champs Chris Brown & Parker Biddle

Chris Brown kept his early season roll going, while Parker Biddle earned his first title, in exciting JBT action at Bowl El Paso.

Cerra Strickland began the handicap division stepladder finals with a 180-177 squeaker over Lindsey Sanchez.  Josh Franz then defeated Strickland 218-188.  Biddle then showed no fear in defeating U of A college bowler Franz 209-175 to reach the title match.

Top seed Jacob Lang was looking to avenge a title match loss the previous month in Albuquerque, but El Paso bowler Biddle would have none of it, firing a confident game in a 243-178 win, earning the first title of his JBT career.

Chris Brown owned the first three rounds of the scratch division stepladder finals, beginning with a big 266-200 win over Jeremiah Martin.  He then rolled past Derek Acuff 217-166, and then returned to the big strike strings with a 256-204 win over Sara Vargas to reach the title match.

Top seed Leo Guzman had has best scratch division performance of his JBT career, and the title match, unlike the others, was both low scoring and close.  In the end, Chris had just enough in the tank for a 185-177 win, good for the fifth title of his JBT career.

Vargas' excellent day continued in the Impact Bowling Women's Series, as she defeated Amber Robinson 221-212 to win the tournament, teh first of three she needs to get into the 2013 Girls TPC this summer.
