KENMORE LANES

champs Perry Crowell IV & Anthony Dang

Perry Crowell IV and Anthony Dang wrapped up the Pac NW Conference regular season with wins in exciting action at Kenmore Lanes.

The lanes were high scoring all day, highlighted by a 300 game from AJ Brockett.  Cameron Weier continued the high scores in the scratch division stepladder finals, beating Caleb Hathaway 268-215 in round one.  Weier then got past 26-time champ Jakob Butturff 244-208.  In the semifinals, Cameron beat Tanner Spacey 218-188 to advance to the title match.

Top seed Perry Crowell fired 806 to open the tournament, eventually lost the lead, but then climbed back to the top spot for the stepladder.  It was a collegiate all-star title match, as Perry, from the successful Midland team, took on Cameron, part of the national champion Robert Morris squad.  The scoring pace slowed down in the title game as the lanes started to change and the building heated up on the warm summer day.  IN the end, Crowell made the quiker adjustments, and his 198-183 win was good for the VII title of his JBT career.

Connor Gracia continued his hot streak with a 212-183 win over Michelle Jensen to begin the handicap division stepladder finals.  A thrilling second round saw Hayden Childs striking on his fill ball for a 221-219 win over Gracia.  Johnny Leggett then beat Childs 246-180 to move on to the title match.

Top seed Anthony Dang has been running over the other JBT conferences all season, so he figured he'd give the Northwest a try, and it worked just like the rest of his season, taking over the lead in game three and not looking back all day.  It was more of the same in the title match, as he defeated Leggett 234-181 to earn the 4th title of his JBT career.

Makayla Douglas can strike all day with the boys, and she did it here as well, leading the scratch division after five at a whopping +238, which also meant she was the day's Impact Bowling JBT Women's Series top seed.   She won the event with a title match win over Courtney Couch, her tenth Women's Series win of the season!

The field is now set for the Pac NW Invitational, where qualifiers will compete for over $6,000 in prizes.  Want in on the fun?  Check out our summer schedule, or make plans to bowl next season, which starts in August!
