TRIANGLE BOWL

champs Perry Crowell IV & Joey Huffman

Perry Crowell IV made a successful return to JBT, while Joey Huffman tasted JBT victory for the first time, in exciting JBT action at Longview's Triangle Bowl.

Connor Jackley opened up the scratch division stepladder finals with a 215-193 win over Daniel Hanson.  Jackley then turned it up for a big 256-215 win over Tyler Porter.  John Jordan then stopped Jackley 224-172 to reach the title game.

Crowell, on winter break from a successful semester at Midland University, snagged the lead back from Jordan by one pin after game eight.  He remained in control in the title match as well, winning 243-204, for the V title of his JBT career.

Huffman began a climb up the handicap division stepladder with a big 263-203 win over Josh Alvarez.  Joey then rolled past Andy Herrmann 234-200, and followed with a 233-220 squeaker over Ally Paolo to reach his first title match.

Top seed Riley Basher had his best career JBT event to earn the number one spot, and engaged in a tough battle with Huffman to see who would win their first title.  In the end, Joey had just enough for the 223-212 win, earning his first championship.

Shannon Dexter, also on break from college, defeated top seed Makayla Douglas 224-204, to win the day's Women's Series event.

Thanks as always to the team at Triangle for another great job hosting our event.  Want in on all this fun?  Get on down to the next JBT event!
