champs Ben Canfield & Jarred Starr-Moncayo

Ben Canfield and Jarred Starr-Moncayo reached two different career milestones with exciting wins in JBT Arizona Conference action at the beautiful new FlipSide in Gilbert.

Oscar Chan began the scratch division stepladder finals with a 211-176 win over Russ Oviatt.  Russ' ASU teammate Ben Canfield then avenged his loss with a 256-196 win over Chan.  Ben kept on striking in teh next match, rolling past Ryan Klumpers 267-193 to advance to the title game.

Top seed Bobby Hornacek grabbed the lead from Klumpers in the final matchplay game after Ryan had ran the leaderboard to that point, but he couldn't maintain the same momentum in the title game.  Canfield remained unflappable on the championship pair, beating Bobby 229-175 for the title.  Ben becomes just the 33rd bowler in JBT history to reach the 10-title mark with the win!

Joshua Molloy began a run up the handicap division stepladder with a 209-201 squeaker over Jake Hilton.  Molloy then threw his high game of the day in a 262-177 win over Morgan Rapp, and kept on rolling past Candace Gardner 247-204 in the semifinals, to climb into the title match.

Top seed Jarred Starr-Moncayo struggled in his first few JBT events, but performed much better this time to gain the #1 spot.  He bowled a strong game in the finals as well, stopping Molloy's run 219-188, and earning him his first career JBT title.

Alexis Atkin upset top seed Correen Lieber 196-193 to win the day's Impact Bowling JBT Women's Series event, already giving her the three wins she needs to qualify for the Girls TPC this summer!

Big thanks to the crew at FlipSide for a great job hosting us for the first time- if you're anywhere in the area, be sure to check out this amazing facility!  Want in on all the fun only JBT offers?  Check out our schedule and come on down to the next event, that's all there is to it!
