        Tyler Boe and Kara Lieber survived tough fields to capture JBT titles at Yakima's Nob Hill Bowl in exciting Pacific Northwest Conference action.

        Sixteen scratch survivors were eventually carved down to the final three, and in that three-way semifinal match, Kyler Crevier (237) and Boe (235) advanced, while points leader Nick Devlin had to settle for third (198).  In the final game, Crevier bowed very well in search of that elusive first JBT title, but Boe had the answer, out-striking Kyler 248-225 for the championship, the 4th of his JBT career.

        Twenty-four handicap semifinalists were whittled down round by round until just four remained, and in those semifinal games, Elisa Couch defeated Nick Bruketta 224-177, while Kara Lieber defeated Candice Goldfinch 235-182, setting up a title game between two veteran JBT girls still looking for their first career titles.  In the finale, both ladies bowled very well, but in the end Kara pulled out the 236-216 victory, finally capturing a second JBT win.

        It was a sweep on the day for the Liebers, as Kara's big sister Correen defeated Courtney Nikolas 183-172 for the day's Women's Series crown.
