TOWN & COUNTRY
champs Cameron Weier and Ronnie Goodman Cameron Weier and Ronnie Goodman captured JBT titles as the Pacific Nortwest Conference regular season wrapped up at Town and Country Lanes. Jordan Plunkett opened the scratch division of the stepladder finals with a 208-203 win over Nick Ferguson, who gets into the Invitational with the finals appearance. Weier then took over, defeating Plunkett 228-156, then having a surprisingly easy time with Rob Edwards, 228-135, to advance to the title match. Top seed Tyler Cruz is quickly becoming the Pacific Northwest's answer to Kyle King in the Southwest, starting to become a threat at all JBT events at a very young age. However, Weier remained strong in the finale, and was able to hang on to defeat Cruz 199-184, for his third career JBT victory. He earned an extra $100 for the win from Ebonite by using an Ebonite ball in the title match. Andrew Mohr continued an excellent season by opening the handicap division of the stepladder finals with a 234-177 win over RJ Powell. It was all Goodman from there, as Ronnie then beat Mohr 235-191, and followed with a 226-225 squeaker over Brett Hall to reach the title match. Top seed Zach Hemming had finished the semifinals with a 227 scratch game to capture the top seed, but slowed down from that pace a little in the title match, and Goodman was able to capitalize for a 198-184 triumph and his first career JBT title. Thanks very much to Town & Country for a fine job hosting our Tour for the first time. 64 entrants shared in over $1,500 in scholarships awarded. The field is now set for the 2008 Pacific Northwest Invitational, the wrap-up to the 07-08 Pac NW season. 60 bowlers are eligible for the $1,000 top scholarship prize in each division. Don't miss it if you're eligible!
