Brian Lillevold and Jordan Spam captured JBT victories in exciting NM-TX Conference action at Town and Country in Roswell.

Scratch division point leader Jess Gagliardi opened the stepladder finals with a 213-192 win over Bill Grant.  Amanda Falk then defeated Jess 217-184, setting up a match against her fellow UCM bowler (and significant other) Brian Lillevold, which Lillevold doubled in the tenth to win 224-214.  

Top qualifier Andy Byer already had a magical day, winning the PowerBowl jackpot for a quick $300 scholarship, and was looking to end a string of runner-up finishes lately.  However, Lillevold had the best look and threw excellent shots, resulting in a 246-225 win and his first JBT title.

The 8-person handicap finals opened with Joshua Barress rolling 213 to eliminate Jerrico Palma (192) and Annalicia Martinez (175).  A thrilling round two saw Jordan Spam win by one pin, 209-208 over Barress, and by 7 over Mason Holman's 202.  In the semifinals, Spam was good again, rolling 229 to beat Main Event champ Billy Read (218) and Mike Romero (197).

Top seed Sam Zermeno has been enjoying a fantastic year, but Jordan is charging quickly up the points list as well, and this time it was Spam with the edge, winning the match 239-206 for his second career JBT title.
