A pair of veteran Arizonans captured titles in exciting JBT Mojave Conference action at Silver Nugget Lanes.
Kyle King dominated the 5 game qualifying round at +268, and survived two rounds of "survivor" before falling to Greg Geering in the semfinals, 210-160. Meanwhile Theo Douthit just snuck into the cut in 15th place, survived three survivor matches, and then made it four with a 228-217 elimination of Cameron Smith.
Theo then defeated Geering in the title match, good for his 13th career JBT title, also sneaking him into the scratch division points lead.
Kenny Herbster, fresh off a third place finish in the Las Vegas Main Event, led the qualifying round at +239, then sailed through early survivor rounds, getting to the title match with a 209-160 win over Sam Cefalu. Rebeca Reguero took the alternate route, shooting 233 to be the last person in the cut, then surviving all the way through the semis, where she beat Ryan Howard 219-189 to get to the title match.
Reguero, the current all-conference points leader, remained red-hot and defeated Herbster in the title match for her second career JBT title.
