BOWL EL PASO
champ Dan Romero & Eric Sanford
Santa Fe invaded El Paso with dominant results, in
exciting JBT NM-TX Conference action at Bowl El Paso.
Romero averaged over 240 to lead qualifying on a
very high scoring day, then fired 693 in the semifinals to retain the #1 seed
for the stepladder finals. He then defeated good friend and fellow Santa
Fe bowler Diego Lucero for the title, the third of his JBT career. Lucero
settled for the runner-up spot for the second consecutive day.
Eric Sanford was also the top seed after qualifying and
heading into the finals, leading a group of four players over +200 after
qualifying. He faced quickly improving Ahkeen Williams for the title, and
was able to hold him off for the title, the third of his JBT career, and second
at Bowl El Paso!
Despite a small field, over $1,100 in scholarships was still
awarded. Thanks to everyone at Bowl El Paso for again hosting our events.
