HILINE LANES

champs Tanner Clemens & Cameron Weier

Cameron Weier earned a landmark title, while Tanner Clemens tasted victory for the first time, in exciting JBT Pacific Northwest Conference action at Hiline Lanes.

Josh Jackson opened the scratch division stepladder finals with a big 265-176 win over Chelsea Lynch.   Jackson then rolled another huge game on what had been a challenging pattern all day, beating Tyler Cruz 253-223.  Weier then stopped Jackson 217-191 to reachthe title match.

Top seed Marshall Kent won his first career JBT title back in the fall, but has struggled in stepladder matches since.  Unfortunately for the talented Yakima righty, that trend continued, as Cameron upset the top seed 223-208 for the win.  The victory was the 5th of Weier's career, making him the 43rd bowler in JBT history to reach the 5-title mark, and the first from the Pacific Northwest Conference to reach that plateau.

Kelsey Abrahamsen opened her first stepladder finals with 209-207 handicap division win over Cody Nelson.  Clemens then took over, defeating Kelsey 241-219, and following with a 209-189 triumph over Connor Gracia to advance to the title game.

Top seed Brittany Arndt was looking for her second career title, but Clemens had just enough left in the tank for a 218-210 squeaker of a win over Brittany, and he captured his first career JBT title with the victory.

Chelsea Lynch captured her first JBT Women's Series title with a victory over Catherine Rawsthorne, making her eligible for an extra $500 bonus at the Women's Invitational in May.

Bowlers enjoyed the annual Easter Egg Hunt, with Jessica Bubnich earning a JBT polo shirt and Tyler Cruz earning a free entry as the biggest prize winners.  In total, $1,500 in scholarships were awarded to bowlers of all ages and averages.  Want in on the fun?  Come on out to the next JBT event, it's as simple as that!
