2011-12 JBT WOMEN’S SERIES Brought to you by: EVERY regular-season JBT singles event** will feature a separate girls’ “title match” between the two highest 5-game pinfall totals, regardless of the division you’re bowling in! Each Conference will have its own Girls Invitational, simultaneous with the regular Invitational, with $200 to the winner! Women’s Series winners and top female point scorers will compete at the 2012 Touring Players Championship for the 2012 JBT Girls’ All-Conference Championship!
CURRENT POINT STANDINGS: WHY POINTS MATTER: After the last regular season event in each conference, the top 50% point scorers, plus anyone who wins a Women's Series event in that conference, qualify for the 2012 Girls Invitational in that conference, to be held in conjunction with that conference's Invitational. ONLY the 5 Girls Invitational winners, anyone with 3 or more Women's Series wins, and the top 15 bowlers on the all-conference girls points list, qualify for the All-Conference Girls' Championship, to be held in conjunction with the 2012 JBT Touring Players Championship. 2011-12 All-Conference Women's Series points top 25- as of 2/22/12
all-conference wins may not add up to individual conference wins because of title matches held during events where handicap & scratch had different formats (mulligan, etc.) 2011-12 Pacific Northwest Conference Women's Series points- as of 3/1/12
2011-12 Arizona Conference Women's Series points- as of 2/1/12
2011-12 Southern California Conference Women's Series points- as of 3/1/12
2011-12 New Mexico-Texas Conference Women's Series points- as of 3/1/12
2011-12 Mojave Conference Women's Series points- as of 3/1/12
Additional Rules on the Female Points System & Girls’ Invitationals: ** Each regular season JBT event that features the same lane conditions in all divisions will award points to the top five female 5-game scratch pinfall totals, regardless of the division in which the bowler is competing, in the following system: (100, 50, 30, 20, 10), with tied bowlers splitting those point values. Best in the West, Main Event, and limited other events do not have a format or scheduled time allotted that works with this system and will not be included in the Women’s Series, and will be noted as such on the schedule page of www.bowljbt.com when we know of this in advance.
** The top 2 scores at each Women’s Series event will bowl a “title match” for an extra 25 points. The Women’s Series title match will take place as soon as both finalists are eliminated from the regular event, pending lane availability. If one or both of the finalists is unable to bowl the title match (or one can’t wait for the other to be eliminated), the next highest qualifier(s) will bowl the title match. Ties for the top 2 spots will be broken by highest game.
** Each conference’s Girls Invitational will be open to anyone who wins a Women’s Series event in that conference, and anyone finishing in the top 50% plus ties of each conference’s girls’ point list. Details on the format of the Invitational, which will be held at the same time as each conference’s regular Invitational, will be available soon.
** The All-Conference Girls’ Championship is only open to the Girls Invitational winners, girls with 3 or more Women’s Series wins this season, and the top 15 finishers in the all-conference girls point list. Details on the format of the All-Conference Girls’ Championship, which will be held at the same time as the 2012 TPC, will be available soon. ** In events with formats where scratch and handicap girls are not of equal advantage (mulligan, etc), a girls title match will still be held when possible. The match will count towards all-conference wins, and nothing else.
We hope our higher-average females will enjoy this addition to the JBT program- please spread the word, and see you soon!
