Awarding as much scholarship money as possible has been a large part of the JBT program since its inception. Through generous help from our sponsors, and an increasing number of tournaments and entries each year, we have been able to award more scholarship money every season, up through our record-smashing 2007-08 season:
-97: 8 tournaments $5,659 awarded
-98: 18 tournaments $15,282 awarded
-99: 15 tournaments $15,715 awarded
-00: 20 tournaments $26,174 awarded
-01: 30 tournaments $40,424 awarded
-02: 37 tournaments $76,940 awarded
-03: 42 tournaments $110,335 awarded
-04: 63 tournaments $136,349 awarded
-05: 71 tournaments $197,585 awarded
-06: 79 tournaments $248,830 awarded
-07: 88 tournaments $287,728 awarded
-08: 97 tournaments $304,106 awarded
-09: 96 tournaments $281,335 awarded
We believe that the JBT awarded more money the last 5 seasons than any other junior scholarship tournament or group in the WORLD.
