STRIKE ZONE at SUNSET STATION
champs Zach Greim & James Burke, with finalists
Zach Greim and James Burke picked up JBT titles in the Mojave Conference season finale at Strike Zone.
Andrew Guba won a three-way scratch semifinal match with a 224 that beat Sebastain Huffman (201) and Allex Zieg (173). Guba was looking, amazingly, for his first win since 2009, but top seed Zach Greim was too much. Zach had dominated the matchplay round, and defeated Andrew 215-190 for his 8th career JBT title.
Zach's sister Lindsay emerged from the handicap semifinal with a big 275 that defeated Gavin Fernandez (216) and Tyler Morgan (212). Unfortunatley for Lindsay, the tables were turned in the title match against top seed James Burke. Burke came out firing while Lindsay suddenly struggled, and the resulting 257-144 whitewash was good for the second title of James' career.
Huffman beat his friend Katelyn Abigania 219-181 for the U17 win (which could have been U-13), while Abigania fared better in Girls Scratch, getting past April McDonnell 173-170.
Huge thanks to the team at Strike Zone for hosting our Tour under these unprecedented circumstances. Top qualifiers now advance to the 2020 Mojave Invitational!
